Musgrave Park Community Garden, Southport

In response to enthusiastic community support, a new community garden is currently in development at Musgrave Park, on Musgrave Avenue in Southport.

The garden is about sowing the seeds of friendship and knowledge through gardening.  The motto of the community group is where sharing creates plenty.

Garden design

The latest version of the garden design (PDF 1.51 MB) will be progressively developed over the coming months. The design includes raised accessible gardens, community planting beds and individual garden plots. There is a generous lawn and large covered area for gatherings. The top of the site has room for compost and soil bays as well as an area for propagating seedlings.

There will be many opportunities to get involved with the development of the garden including workshops and working bees. For more information on how to get involved contact the Secretary Lyn Mansfield on 0409 645 888.
